owend Yes, please keep publishing new versions as flatpak. It's the most convinient way under Linux to keep OpenLP up to date. Thanks a lot for the good work!

Hi! After installation I found out today that the media autorun doesn't work. It has to be run from the computer. It worked fine with the previous version.

Please add a flatpack release for this, I switched to flatpack as I had issues with the .deb release on Mint. We use the remote view feature a lot for people with vision difficulties so have been plagued by the webremote bug. Would love to upgrade asap 🙂

Brendan Yes, this! I asked weeks ago if the Flatpak version were supported (your question is part of what I was asking!). Over the last few years I've had issues with distro packages so I thought the Flatpak would solve this problem. I'm hoping this new version fixes the remote view(s)!

I'm having problems with Norton 360 blocking installation, reporting that the 3.1.5 .msi is infected with Win64:Malware-gen. I have no luck with the portable version - Norton reports a FileRepMalware [Misc] infection. It's perfectly happy with the 3.1.3 downloads, so what's changed that could cause this?

Have the performance issues from 3.0.x been resolved? We do want to upgrade from 2.4 but our initial testing was not good.

wemmc I suggest you try it out with the portable edition. When you like it you can than upgrade your installed version....

witterholt Thank you for the suggestion, I had forgotten about the portable version as a testing platform.

It looks like the performance issues aren't in the 3.1.x release and the look and feel are a lot closer to what 2.4.x were. Some minor adjustments will be needed, and I see that when I get to the end of a song with the down arrow, it doesn't automatically load the next song, and I can see some benefits to that. It will just mean a minor adjustment in our use. This looks like a great update to the issues we saw in 3.0.x

benaph Yes, the download gets flagged because of some windows store signing issue. click on "Mas informacion" and there should be an option to 'run anyway'. I got the same message in Windows10.

wemmc there is a setting that controls the behaviour of what happens at the end of a song so that you can just down arrow all the way through a service. It is in the Service settings and the Service item section.

If you want a more recent version than your distro has in its repositories, you could install using Python, using "pip install OpenLP". For earlier releases they were up to date, however it looks like a version was pulled the other day because of dependency issues so the latest version on the pip repository is still a little behind.

openLP 3.1.5 is completely blocked on my Win10 laptop. MS Defender is calling it a "severe" threat and quarantining the whole thing.
I've had to downgrade to 3.0 .
What's going on?!?

cameronag You can manually exclude it from quarantine. I already asked if it can be reported as false positive by Microsoft and others.

Virus Total is also reporting this release as having with a total of 7 other sources including google, Trend Micro, Avast, AVG, and Fortinet all reporting a malicious signature.

The executable and MSI are also now being forcible removed post-installation. I have confirmed this behavior on more than one computer.

Openlp 3.1.2 is the latest version I am able to run. The later versions do not work on my AMD Radeon Graphics. Even in 3.1.2 I have to click on the projection monitor to activate the video. The sound starts automatically.

I am running Win 11 and keep all my drivers and system updated. I have tried many different things to get it to work. However, something happened after 3.1.2. Every time I try to update to a newer version, OpenLP fails and I have to go back to 3.1.2.

I appreciate the hard work people have put into this software.

I see others have problems which are probably related to this issue. There is something in OpenLP causing the issue.
