witterholt Understood. Is there a config file somewhere that I can use to affect these things...especially the autostart. Thanks.
OpenLP 3.1.1 "Beaming Bartimaeus" has been released!

sumterfirstag On Windows you can change settings for the current OpenLP version in the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\openlp.org\OrganizationDefaults" when you are logged in under the same user account that has installed OpenLP.
To enable auto start of live media you need to
change the value of "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\openlp.org\OrganizationDefaults\media\media auto start" to 2.
In the upcoming 3.1.2 release of OpenLP the key will be changed from "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\openlp.org\OrganizationDefaults" (back) to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\OpenLP\OrganizationDefaults".

HitmanSam12 The permission error will probably go away after rebooting your PC. I run multiple OpenLP portable versions on a laptop and it is impossible to switch from one version to another without rebooting. There seems to be some weird lock on codicon.ttf left by the previously run instance of OpenLP.

I'm having an issue with the latest version. Just had a chance to update, and it's detecting the projector screen at the wrong resolution. The projector is 1920x1080, but OLP is picking it up as 1536x960, which isn't even a resoultion I can set in the windows settings. . If I change the resolution to 1600x900 it detects right, but not at 1920x1080
Okay, odd, when I was looking closer at the settings in Windows 10, I saw that the scale had been set to 125% when I set it back to 100% it seems to be fine. In case anyone else has that issue, check the scaling.

Now that I'm working with it more, I'm having odd delays moving between slides, it shows the desktop background, and even though I start each slide with a blank intro slide, it briefly shows Verse one. I just noticed it looks like the media controls take time to load when I switch service items, using motion backgrounds.
Also noting that there's a hiccup when the videos loop, it's no longer smooth looping
This wasn't an issue with 3.02
. Was there database changes? I can restore a backup if I need to, but it didn't prompt for back up like it usually does, so I'm guessing the db didn't change much?
mhalbrook I think there was a database change, but not a breaking one. I rolled back to 3.0.2 (due to the vlc on MacOS issue. I get a error message about running a later version of the database, but other than that it works fine.

I still need to install 3.11 on my home system and test it (and maybe test the portable version as well. The PC at the Church doesn't have the latest and greatest Video card (I think it's an NVIDIA 2060 Super), but that should be more than up to the task of doing what OpenLP needs it to do. Of the PCs I have access to, it's the most powerful CPU, but, with Windows, it's how it all works together.

Ik heb hier een fix voor gemaakt. Bedankt voor het rapporteren.
I've made a fix for this. Thanks for reporting.
I updated our church Windows 10 PC to 3.1.1 and all seemed fine until I tried to set our custom geometry for the display. We have a 1280x800 projector to a 1280x720 screen. The best approach in the past has been to adjust the starting y position down and set the height to 720. This works fine with version 3.0.2.
After I adjusted the settings, OpenLP hung. I could restart it, but it continued to die. I'm sorry, I didn't save the log files or run with debug.. My priority was getting back to 3.0.2 for next Sunday.
I'll try again next week, but with our backup laptop.
I don't recall seeing this as an issue before.
Jamie Hockin Yeah, any more info you can provide would be helpful, thanks!
I have an issue using video background in OpenLP 3.1.1. Here is how you can check the bug:
1) Theme background type is set as Video with 2:00 duration;
2) After church finishes singing I press ESC button and OpenLP Live window switches to Show Desktop mode;
3) Though no songs are presented the Video timer in the bottom of the Live window keeps going;
4) After 2:00 video finishes it goes on a new loop, while OpenLP starts presenting the video background without any verses;
5) OpenLP has the same issue if I switch Live into Go to Black mode. After 2:00 and new video loop the Black screen overflows all other windows including PowerPoint 2021 and BibleShow 5 in presentation modes.
I checked all possible settings trying to fix the bug myself, however all my attempts failed. Please consider fixing the bug in the following updates.
