Just updated from 3.1.0 to 3.1.1 and now I cant save the location of the data files, I change in the settings and then restart and it goes back to the default location. Very annoying. I have had to copy all the files from our shared drive to the appdata folder as a work around.

Digging around in the registry, the key data_path is not present in the new openlp.org/OrganizationDefault/advanced hive. It is in the old OpenLP/OpenLP/advanced. I am presumming it should be.

On a brighter note, on my iMac (Intel, Monterey), almost everything works perfectly. Most of the bugs that I saw before seem to be fixed. The only issue for me is that OpenLP can't find VLC, which is installed in Applications. A reinstall puts it in the same place but it still isn't detected. It's not an issue on my Mac as I only use it to set up services.

One bug not fixed is that I cannot left-click on an image or media item and keep it highlighted when I let go of the mouse button. So to add an item to a service, I have to right-click or drag it over to the service window.

Jamie Hockin For your "left click, remain selected" I'm taking wild guess that you probably have "single-click to preview" set? That might explain the behaviour you're seeing.

No, I don't have the click to preview set. However, I now realize that I can right-click and select "Service" to get an item to the service. I was used to left-clicking on an image or media item and then clicking the + icon. That works for songs, bible, custom. Left-click in those parts of the library keep the item highlighted.

I'm happy with the context menu.

I'm having just a couple of issues with 3.1.1 that seem to be related to settings not saving because I get them both when I restart OpenLP: 1) I get the message about updating the remote interface but the version I have is the latest (0.9.13). 2) AutoStart (for videos) is inactive even though I activate it. Everything else seems to be good...I like the updates. Thanks for all you guys do...God Bless!

sumterfirstag the configured settings not being migrated during an upgrade will be fixed in the next version.

I just noticed today on my MAC that the service panel no longer has a drop down list to select a theme. This was very handy, to be able to apply a special theme (e.g. Good Friday) without changing the default theme. It's not a big deal and I don't know if it is the same on Windows. I'll find out tomorrow.

Jamie Hockin Check your theme settings in the configuration dialog (OpenLP -> Preferences on macOS, I believe).

Hi Raoul, I'm getting this error after trying to start 3.1.1

PermissionError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'C:\Users\ringw\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts\codicon.ttf'

Running in Administrator mode, and the font is in the right location. This has only started happening after reinstalling 3.1.1., which I did to try and fix an issue with images no longer working. The image thumbnails were working fine, however it wouldn't send them to live. (It would just show the little image symbol in the top left corner). Should also add that neither of these issues appear on the same computer with 3.0.2

HitmanSam12 I thought I fixed that error in the 3.1.1 release. From what I've heard (I don't use Windows) normally you see it once and then never again.

HitmanSam12 The permission error will probably go away after rebooting your PC. I run multiple OpenLP portable versions on a laptop and it is impossible to switch from one version to another without rebooting. There seems to be some weird lock on codicon.ttf left by the previously run instance of OpenLP.

sumterfirstag On Windows you can change settings for the current OpenLP version in the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\openlp.org\OrganizationDefaults" when you are logged in under the same user account that has installed OpenLP.

To enable auto start of live media you need to
change the value of "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\openlp.org\OrganizationDefaults\media\media auto start" to 2.

In the upcoming 3.1.2 release of OpenLP the key will be changed from "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\openlp.org\OrganizationDefaults" (back) to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\OpenLP\OrganizationDefaults".

I'm having an issue with the latest version. Just had a chance to update, and it's detecting the projector screen at the wrong resolution. The projector is 1920x1080, but OLP is picking it up as 1536x960, which isn't even a resoultion I can set in the windows settings. . If I change the resolution to 1600x900 it detects right, but not at 1920x1080

Okay, odd, when I was looking closer at the settings in Windows 10, I saw that the scale had been set to 125% when I set it back to 100% it seems to be fine. In case anyone else has that issue, check the scaling.

Now that I'm working with it more, I'm having odd delays moving between slides, it shows the desktop background, and even though I start each slide with a blank intro slide, it briefly shows Verse one. I just noticed it looks like the media controls take time to load when I switch service items, using motion backgrounds.
Also noting that there's a hiccup when the videos loop, it's no longer smooth looping

This wasn't an issue with 3.02

. Was there database changes? I can restore a backup if I need to, but it didn't prompt for back up like it usually does, so I'm guessing the db didn't change much?

mhalbrook I think there was a database change, but not a breaking one. I rolled back to 3.0.2 (due to the vlc on MacOS issue. I get a error message about running a later version of the database, but other than that it works fine.

I still need to install 3.11 on my home system and test it (and maybe test the portable version as well. The PC at the Church doesn't have the latest and greatest Video card (I think it's an NVIDIA 2060 Super), but that should be more than up to the task of doing what OpenLP needs it to do. Of the PCs I have access to, it's the most powerful CPU, but, with Windows, it's how it all works together.
