If you want a more recent version than your distro has in its repositories, you could install using Python, using "pip install OpenLP". For earlier releases they were up to date, however it looks like a version was pulled the other day because of dependency issues so the latest version on the pip repository is still a little behind.

wemmc there is a setting that controls the behaviour of what happens at the end of a song so that you can just down arrow all the way through a service. It is in the Service settings and the Service item section.

openLP 3.1.5 is completely blocked on my Win10 laptop. MS Defender is calling it a "severe" threat and quarantining the whole thing.
I've had to downgrade to 3.0 .
What's going on?!?

cameronag You can manually exclude it from quarantine. I already asked if it can be reported as false positive by Microsoft and others.

Virus Total is also reporting this release as having with a total of 7 other sources including google, Trend Micro, Avast, AVG, and Fortinet all reporting a malicious signature.

The executable and MSI are also now being forcible removed post-installation. I have confirmed this behavior on more than one computer.

Openlp 3.1.2 is the latest version I am able to run. The later versions do not work on my AMD Radeon Graphics. Even in 3.1.2 I have to click on the projection monitor to activate the video. The sound starts automatically.

I am running Win 11 and keep all my drivers and system updated. I have tried many different things to get it to work. However, something happened after 3.1.2. Every time I try to update to a newer version, OpenLP fails and I have to go back to 3.1.2.

I appreciate the hard work people have put into this software.

I see others have problems which are probably related to this issue. There is something in OpenLP causing the issue.

owend Yes, please keep publishing new versions as flatpak. It's the most convinient way under Linux to keep OpenLP up to date. Thanks a lot for the good work!

Brendan According to the website Flatpak is officially NOT supported:

“This Flatpak is experimental, and currently the OpenLP team does not support its use.”

Yet when I experienced trouble with the default debian/ubuntu deb package they advised me to switch to flatpak which did resolve my issue.
If there has been a change I'd like to know so I can plan my path forward. Also they should remove the flatpak download link if its not going to be supported moving forward?

Any update on this? Windows 11 sees this as a virus and will not allow it to run - even when allowing the virus

You have to go into Windows security and make some changes.

Start>settings>updates & security>windows security>virus & threat protection>virus & threat protection settings>manage settings>Exclusions>add or remove exclusions>+ add an exclusion

Now add folder "C:/Program Files/OpenLP"
Also add file "C:/Program Files/OpenLP/OpenLP.exe"

You might have to turn off defender during the install process, then add these exceptions before turning Defender back on. Defender will remove the files.

When trying to download the flatpak version it links to https://get.openlp.org/3.1.5/openlp-3.1.5-1.flatpak which gives you a 404 error.

I am encountering an issue with video playback in the new version. I tested this on two different PCs running Windows 10.
Scenario 1:

(Settings -> Media -> Start Live items automatically = false)

When I place a video in the live section and set it to "show," the desktop is displayed with a gray box instead of the video. I must press "Play" for the video to start.

Then the the video starts as small as the gray box bevor becoming fullscreen.

Scenario 2:

(Settings -> Media -> Start Live items automatically = true)

When I move a video into the live section it is set to "show" automatically but the monitor remains black, and the video does not start automatically. When I click "Play" the video starts but appears very small for a couple of frames, maintaining the same size and position as in Scenario 1, bevor becoming fullscreen.
