  • Web Remote interface doesn't work with iPadOS 12 (OpenLP 3.0.2)

I'm having trouble viewing the web interface on my old iPad Mini running iPadOS 12.5.7

When I go to the remote URL (HTTP://192.168.1.11:4316/stage), the full interface doesn't load. The only thing I see is the OpenLP logo at the top left corner on a white background.

Using the same iPad I can connect to the remote interface using the iOS app. And I have no problem connecting to the web interface using an old Android tablet.

Is this a bug? Is this just me? Any ideas?

    What browsers did you try?

I haven't tried any other browsers on the iPad—and I'm not sure if that would help since all browsers on iOS use the same rendering engine.

@funkydan2 unfortunately without any access to the browser logs, we're a little stuck. I'm not sure if that's even possible on iOS.

I confirm that on old Ipad and android tablet, there is this problem. How I can log it?

It appears that there might be compatibility issues between the web remote interface of OpenLP 3.0.2 and iPadOS 12. Potential solutions could involve checking for updates, browser compatibility, or reaching out to OpenLP support for specific guidance on resolving the issue with iPadOS 12.

jednou Because this is an old iPad. It's running the latest version of iPadOS that it's able to!

My guess is there's some Javascript used in the OpenLP Web Remote that isn't compatible with older browsers—which is fine...I'd prefer OpenLP to use up-to-date technology than be crippled supporting old devices.

In the most recent versions of Web Remote you will be redirected to an error page if the browser version is not supported.
