A Flatpak distribution with Flathub would fix the problem of distros not shipping the latest versions and creating dependency issues. Another benefit would be that there's no need to repack the software for 4 distros, and only for Flatpak.
This post talks about Flatpak only because the other formats are really not adopted by the Linux community, as only Canonical use Snaps and no distro enforces the use of Appimages. But Flatpaks are the main package format for Fedora, SteamOS, Kde Neon, Linux Mint, Zorin OS, Elementary OS and other.
