Am I missing something. I am just trying to get things on a monitor and am not sure how to set font size. So far all I have done is get the program running and on to a 55 inch screen. If possible I would like to increase font size. I see edit songs and see auto size but is there a way to manuslly change font size.

Thanks in advance, Al in TX USA

First of all, if you want a fixed font size, rather than it automatically reducing in size to fit, then go into Options -> Settings, go to the Slide Settings tab and select the "Wrap long lines to keep desired font size" option.

Secondly the place to specify the font size you want is in the theme. So in the theme editor (where you put your background images) go to the second page headed "Font". Here you will see a Font Size setting and just drag the slider back and forth until the preview image shows the size you want.

Either the terminology has changed in the last 14 years or I'm using a different OS (Win10) which has different terminology, but I have no 'Options', and in my Settings>Configure OpenLP, there does not appear to be a 'Slide Settings' tab. In the Service tab, there appears to be a section on Service Item Wrapping, but i think that may be more about looping.
I'm looking at version 3.1.1

Malcius you're using what amounts to a completely different OpenLP. In 2010, OpenLP was Windows only, and was in the process of being re-written from scratch to support multiple operating systems. Check the Themes section in the manual.
