Cannot play video files with avi extension

I am using the latest version of openlp with windows xp, and I have the lastest xp codec pac (version 2.5) installed on my PC and laptops. When I play a video file with an avi extension I only get audio. I can play video files with wmv extensions with no problems. The avi videos play fine in realplayer SP and in Quicktime, but will not play in openlp. I have also tried to use video mode rendering in the display settings box of openlp, but it does not help. I can't think of anything else to do and would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks

Can windows media player play it? If not than thats your problem.
