Open Media Transport

I know there was discussion in the past about NDI support in OpenLP (not possible due to licensing restrictions, IIRC) but I noticed the other day that there is a new open source option in Open Media Transport (https://www.openmediatransport.org/) - the video codec is the one developed by vMix but now open sourced, and there's already support in OBS for it.

Is this the sort of thing that could be incorporated into OpenLP to be able to send the output over the network into OBS/vMix/other? This would seem to be a good way of adding a feature that is in some paid options.

So, OpenLP does not operate at that level. Things like NDI and OMT are almost hardware level stuff, and all OpenLP does is ask your computer for a screen, and shows a window on that screen. In order to implement NDI or OMT, OpenLP would have to essentially create a device driver and do a whole lot of video processing that it currently does not do.
