Transition lag after a certain time

Hello everyone.
I experience some troubles with openLP in our church.
Everything is working fine at the beginning of the service, but after using the app for maybe 30 minutes or so, (projecting songs and Bible verses) there is a transition lag between the moment I press the button for the next verse/stanza and the moment the verse/stanza is changed on the projection screen.
Sometimes this lag is even more than 3 - 4 seconds and when the pastor is reading on the Bible, it is impossible to follow the reading rhythm.
And this trouble is getting worse and worse till i have to restart openLP app. It is awkward to do that in the middle of the service and I do not know what should be the solution.
Did anyone experienced this issue?

Hi,

I haven't seen this when using just the OpenLP 3.1.7 on Windows and a directly attached screen.

I do see delays on a web browser display using the remote facility.

Hello PaulRowell, and thank you for your reply.

Our projection system consists of a laptop running Windows 10 and the latest version of OpenLP, along with three large LCD TVs connected a HDMI amplifier hub which is connected to the computer via HDMI.

This setup worked fine for about two years, but the current issue we're experiencing occurred about six or seven months ago.

I initially tried this, thinking the HDMI cable was too long, so I brought the laptop home and attached it to the TV with a shorter cable, but I encountered the same problem.

I tried changing the themes and settings, but to no avail.

googol Is the laptop under powered? When the issue occurs have you tried running task manager to see what is using the laptop's resources?

Yes, the laptop is plugged to the wall the whole time. Regarding the resources of the laptop in task manager, everything is normal, no abnormal behavior.
What I did today, and temporarily solved the issue for about 20 minutes, was to just unplug and replug the HDMI cable instead of restarting OpenLP.

I'd be interested to take a look at a debug log. It would be helpful if you could record when the issue occurs so that we can look at the relevant section of the log file which is likely to be long if it takes 30 minutes for the issue to occur.
