JobGalvan,
I found that using OpenLp Portable on a USB drive worked best for us. We had issues with media and keeping the song database up to date, as well as some other quirks.
It is important that the portable USB is given the same drive letter on both systems. Because OpenLP references media with a fixed path.
I used this simple batch file on the USB to quickly go to the settings if needed:
cd C:/
diskmgmt.msc
I use drive letter O as something easy to remember and not prone to be used by anything else.
By the way, an added feature, since the church does not internet, is that you can keep the OpenLP updated to the latest version, including the remote, without too much fuss.
Remember to run OpenLP from the USB, not the installed icon.
