Video flash at loop point

Apologies if this has already been addressed. I have been using an older version OpenLP reliably using an old Macbook Pro but avoiding video totally. I recently got a used 2019 macbook pro i7 with a fresh install of 15.5. The latest version of OpenLP plays videos great on this machine but using motion video loops gives me a quick flash at the loop point. Is there a setting somewhere in the OS or the program that might fix this? Thanks in advance!

I get the same problem with the slight flash at the loop point - basically it means we can't use video motion loops. I can't wait until OpenLP v4 where they use the QT6 video player. Using VLC Player seems to cause all sorts of strange issues like this. In the meantime one solution is to just create a super long video by joining the same video to itself over and over again - but this tends to blow up the service file.
