OpenLP won't open on Windows 11

Last week when I arrived at church I was unable to get openlp to open at all. I have totally wiped the computer and started it from scratch. I redownloaded openlp and even tried the portable version. Nothing is working. It seems like it stopped working after an update. I have reversed the update and it still isn't working.

We need a bit more information to be able to help you. When you start OpenLP do you get any messages?

Can you try running in debug mode and post the log?

I have no more information to give you. I can’t run the debug, and I don’t get any error message. I click the app to open it and I get nothing. I even right clicked it and hit run as administrator. Still nothing.

I think I might have a similar issue, where OpenLP crashed and when I downloaded the latest version, after installing it and when trying to open it, it keeps saying it needs to be upgraded and will move files to a different location you click "Ok" then it gives the error as attached. I ended up installing the Portable version 3.1.6 which works just no bibles and no songs coz the files aren't compatible.

My installation got really messed up after some failed upgrades to .15 version that the antivirus caught.
I had to manually clean all openlp related files on the disk (searched for openlp to find them all), plus i did the same to clean up the registry to make sure it was totally clean.
Then I installed the newest version again and it completed without problems.
