Great question. I have the same issue with the NIV translation we use in OpenLP (I can't recall the source...but it's probably Bible Gateway).
I'd be happy if there were a way to manually 'fix' the imported text. I don't use loads of Bible verses from OpenLP—partly for this reason, partly because I think it's easier to read longer texts from a paper/phone Bible.
