The Frimley Baptist Ch work-around for playing Youtube videos

Greetings to all at Frimley Baptist Church (from Sandhurst & Yateley Methodist Church)!

Please cananyone tell me if this work-around still works for them?

Have now tried this (using v3.0.2-2), and I get in both Preview & Live ...

Have followed the instructions to the letter and triple checked how I set up and use the {tube}{/tube} tags.
While it is possible I may still have made a mistake, it may save time to ask: Is it still working for you?

Just tried this, with OpenLP 3.1.5 on macOS. I had to modify the Start/End HTML a bit. And it doesn't autoplay, you have to click it. When entering the HTML strings, OpenLP may complain about invalid HTML, but be persistent and it will finally allow you to enter it anyway.

Start HTML: <iframe height=100% width=100% src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/
End HTML: ?autoplay=1&mute=0&rel=0&showinfo=0&controls=0" frameborder=0 allowfullscreen></iframe>

One caveat: On my display, the iframe takes 100% of the width, but only takes about 10% of the height. I'm not sure what's causing that, maybe OpenLP has a bug in its iframe code ( @raoul ?), but it does the same thing whether it's an embedded YT video or just a web page. The workaround is to use the actual pixel height of your display instead of "100%" in the Start HTML.

jlgtx Since it's just a web page, it probably depends on the height of the outer <div>. Like @Jamie Hockin said, if you specify the height in pixels, it'll force the <iframe> to be taller.

This is working for me on my iMac (Intel) and v3.1.6 at home and we'll know for sure in Windows at tomorrow's service.

Start HTML: <iframe width="1280" height="720" title="YouTube video player" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/
End Html: ?rel=0&autoplay=1" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Don't forget to hit the <enter> key when you modify the html; otherwise the changes don't stick.

We've left the controls on, since it doesn't always autostart, the first time you go to the slide. After we start it for testing, it seems to autostart when we go back. We've also left mute alone - see below.
Caution: with v3.1.6, the video also plays, with audio, in the Live panel, so we have to pause it in the live panel. On the plus side, it also plays in the custom stage view we use for someone with limited vision. But the tablet we use for that has to be muted.
