Any gotchas switching between Debian Stable vsn & Flatpak?

Hi. My church team has been using OpenLP 3.0.2-2 (from the Debian Stable branch) for a few months. But that's pretty old, right? So I am thinking about trying the latest-and-greatest 3.1.6-1 available via Flatpak.

I am fairly new to flatpakking. Therefore the questions I can think of asking are...
1, Should I uninstall 3.0.2-2 first?
2, Would the flatpak version replace 3.0.2-2, or would they be available in parallel?
3, How can I make sure the flatpak version has the same config & database as the current 3.0.2-2 version? Would I have to copy this (& how?), or would 3.1.6-1 pick it all up automagically?
4, If we decide not to continue using 3.1.6-1, would uninstalling it and going back to 3,0,2-2 break the latter ... eg by corrupting its config / database?
5, Sorry, I don't know what I don't know. Are there any other gotchas I should look out for?

I just installed the flatpak version on my laptop in order to try it, so I can't say much for comparison yet.
You would need to export the songs and the settings and import them in the flatpak version.

I've installed both on Linux Mint, so it might or might not use the same paths...but on Mint (so Ubuntu), the repository version uses a different directory path than the flatpak version for its data files. I reconfigured the flatpak version to use the same directory as the repository, and it "just worked," didn't do an update or anything. I haven't fired up the repository version again, though, so I don't know whether or not running both versions on the same data directory would cause problems. It might work fine, but I wouldn't risk it on a production system. Stick with one or the other version.

The Flatpak system puts the Flatpak version of OpenLP into it's own little area, so you can have both installed and running at the same time. I would NOT recommend sharing the data folder, major versions of OpenLP are not compatible with each other.

I echo what others have said here: choose a version, and stick with it. At this stage, the next stable release of Debian will probably ship with OpenLP version 3.1.6 or 3.1.7.
