Videos won't play if screens are different scale percentage

Env: OpenLP 3.1.5 x64, Windows 11 Business, 24H2, Dell XPS 8940, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, driver v. 566.36.

I have been unable to play videos on OpenLP on my 2-screen setup "for a while" now (many months?) - the audio portion plays, but the monitor just displays its desktop background. Monitor 1 is 3840x2160, 175% scaling. Monitor 2: 1920x1080, 100% scaling. I discovered if I switch monitor 1 to 100% scaling, then the videos play on M2. (If I play the videos on M1, they play there as well).

If I am in the Configure OpenLP dialog and I click the Identify Screens button, the Screen 2 banner only displays if monitors have the same scaling percentage (100%)

Is this a known bug that I missed? Anyone heard of this problem before? Any workarounds (other than changing M1 scaling to 100%)?

two things I would try.

can you set custom location on the screens menu for the second screen and have that work?
Can you play on the second screen using VLC.

There might be a VLC specific bug that's causing the second screen to show black. Also, check to see if the video that you can't get to work has an unusual codec or if it has options that cause issues in regular playback. I know that some MP4 videos will play well and others not depending on if it uses h.265 or some other encoding options.

wemmc, thanks for the reply. Seems like this is not VLC-related, as the "Identify Screens" functionality doesn't even work. I'll try your suggestions when I get a minute.
