Didplay mismatch not able to be fixed

Hello there,
I am new to OpenLP.
When I start the program on the laptop I intend to use for the display of songs it warns me that there is a mismatch between the display settings and it will try to identify the screen but then I get a "full screen white screen with the OpenLP Logo" and nothing else. No buttons to click? The program appears to be frozen and I cannot do anything so I cannot see what OpenLP has as the screen setting? Pressing "Alt-Tab" to see if there is any other screen "behind the scenes" does NOT allow me to go to any other program - not even task manager. No matter what other program I select with "Alt-Tab" I only ever get the full screen white screen with the OpenLP Logo! :-(
How do I resolve this problem?
I have another laptop with an external screen and I get the same "mismatch" message at the start but then it "resolves" it and OpenLP eventually loads and displays the "split screens" with the list of songs, the edit and display screens.

TonyRobson Try pressing a combination of D or ESC then D.

It sounds like OpenLP is not detecting your second monitor?

You might also need to click on the logo screen...

Hello Paul,
Apologies for my tardy response but I don't use this laptop on a daily basis - only when I want to prepare something for the fellowship.....

In this case - I do not have an external monitor or projector.... I am only on the laptop.
Clicking on the "Logo screen" has no effect. :-(

The ESC key did the trick! Thank you!

So... It seems to me that, when OpenLP loaded, it "automatically" switched to the "Presentation Display"? Not sure if this is a setting that can be changed?
With no song selected and nothing else to display it "defaulted" to displaying the OpenLP Logo on a blank white background!
It was strange to me that pressing Alt Tab did not take me to the OpenLP "Control Panel" - although I could see it while still holding down the ALT key! The moment I let go the ALT key I was back at the White screen with Logo!
Now I understand that the laptop was in the "Presentation Display" mode so - no matter what "program" I selected with Alt-Tab - it always came back to that!

TonyRobson There is a setting for single displays that might help. Another trick I use is to position the OpenLP display so that the top corner is in the bottom right corner.

I am running OpenLP Portable on my Windows 10 desktop at home and have recently updated it from vw2.4.6 to v3.1.3. (I'm normally playing in the band at church, so I only run OpenLP in a "tech help" capacity)

Like the OP I find that when first launched the transparent logo changes to a white screen with logo. Eventually, I found that if I hit ESC twice, the white screen disappeared and I could access all windows on my desktop.

Before that I tried to move away from the white screen by using ALT-TAB, but while I could move from app to app as soon as I released the keys the white screen would reappear, meaning I was effectively locked out of my computer. I couldn't even run Task Manager to try and kill the program, so rebooted the machine.

After reading this topic I also tried clicking on the white screen. While it blinks on the first click, after that it remains.

I can't find the setting for single screens that you mention. Can you point me in the right direction, please, otherwise I guess I need to report this as a bug.

(I am slowly getting used to Flarum, but I can't find a "bug report" tag)

I read that section of the page, and failed to see a reference to getting rid of big white screens that locked me out of any other program I was running, checked and unchecked a couple of the options, but it made no difference.
What did I miss?

A small amount of further research suggests that the problem is that, on start-up, a background colour screen is sent to LIVE, rather than just appearing on the Preview and (depending on on the "Don't show logo on start-up" setting) it may or may not add the OpenLP logo.
