How to stop self-duplicating Songs

Every time I boot OpenLP, a new copy is added to certain songs. And the next time I boot up, a new copy is added to these same songs. After booting up a few times, I have to manually delete all the duplicate songs back to one copy so that it doesn't get confusing. But it would be nice if this would stop. Has anyone experienced this? What can I do about it?

I've not seen this but I'm sure it would help those that may be able to help if you could add what version of OpenLP you are using along with the OS version.

One idea that might be worth exploring is the setting for what OpenLP does when opening a service file and finding songs that aren't in its database. I'm not at my computer currently so I can't remember exactly what this is called.

I use Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1, with OpenLP 3.1.2

Yes, there is a setting in OpenLP to detect and automatically delete duplicate songs. But in this case it does not find any duplicate songs. It's like they are just mirrored or something.

It worked well! Thank you for this tip.
It stopped copying all the time by disabling the "Import missing songs from Service files"-button. Or in German "Importiere fehlende Lieder von Ablaufdateien".

I'm wondering if there is a bug in how OpenLP detects whether to create a new song that it thinks is missing. It should only happen if you open a service file that has a song that is missing/different from those in the database. From your description it sounded like this was happening when you hadn't done this?
