Unfortunately, it is difficult for me to get to the church often as I broke my kneecap this summer and can't drive yet. I was at the church today and stored some error messages on a stick ... and then forgot it. I am in a worse situation now as I can't open OpenLP on the church desktop at all.
- I have no idea what brought on the not being able to open the Presentation plugin. I am using a computer with Windows 10 Pro at the church. I thought perhaps the problem was the version of OpenLP and sure enough it is a later version 2, not 3.
- I checked the Presentation plugin and it said it was active which clearly it was not. I toggled it and got an error message.
- I thought I would try to update. All I could find for updating was this from a google search "The only thing you need to do is go into Configuring OpenLP, select the Remote Interface item in the menu on the left side of the Settings window then press the Check for Updates button. If the Current version number is not the same as Latest Version then press the Upgrade button." So I did that. I closed OpenLP to run my presentation in Google Slides as I was getting desperate for a work around and then I was unable to open OpenLP again. First the plugin error, then further errors.
- I guess I don't have enough information for you to help me until I get my error files but if you have any ideas they would be appreciated. I am thinking I should uninstall and reinstall. I am doing everything at home with Windows 11 on my Dell Laptop with no problem. Any thoughts from someone who is experienced with this program?
