Troubleshooting v3.1.1

I am experiencing 2 issues with the latest version of Open LP:
I have downloaded and installed VLC, yet I am still getting an error message on opening Open LP. I have tried reinstalling Open LP and reinstalling VLC with no change. Is this a known issue?
Secondly, despite running a full version of Powerpoint I cannot add pptx files to "presentations", how does the integration with powerpoint work?
Your urgent response would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to set up our Easter Service in the next 24 hours which includes both media and slides.

The issue around VLC and MacOS has been noted in this thread. One of the later posts suggests what the solution might be, but there's no issue about this on GitLab.

I've 'rolled back' to 3.0.2 until VLC is fixed. It means I get a warning about the database version being too high when I start OpenLP—but at least it's working.

funkydan2 Thank you! Just to be clear exactly how did you roll back to v3.0.2?

keith_brockbank There is a link just below the download button at openlp.org that has this text around it:
Older versions can be downloaded from our downloads archive, but we do not support these versions.
There is a long list of versions, with the newest at the bottom. If you click on 3.0.2, you will get to the installation files. If you are using a Mac at your church (lucky you), you want "OpenLP-3.0.2.dmg"

keith_brockbank All I did was install the older version. That automatically overwrote v3.1.1, and things work as before.
