OpenLP Not Working with gdm3

OpenLP doesn’t function correctly when I’m using Gnome gdm3. It flickers and moves around, and the UI doesn’t update correctly. If I use SLiM, it works great. I’ll use SLiM if I have to, but I’d prefer to use gdm3. Any suggestions on what I should do?

I’m running Ubuntu 23.10 and OpenLP 3.0.2 on a Dell XPS 15 L502X.

UPDATE 3/25/24

I was able to fix this problem it by choosing "Ubuntu on Xorg" after clicking the gear icon at the bottom-right of the screen. The gear icon shows up after you choose a user on the Gnome login screen.

I was about to suggest trying to use X instead of Wayland :-)

Currently Wayland doesn't support specific placement of windows, a feature that OpenLP specifically uses, so OpenLP either needs to be used via X or XWayland.
