At a previous church, we had a tool for inserting announcements to the congregation (e.g. "Please could the owner of such and such a car move it?", "Could Mr or Mrs X come to the children's group?") during the service. This could be displayed at the top or bottom of the screen with minimal interference to what was already being displayed.
If I recall correctly, the text of the message would scroll across in a single line like a banner, playing in a loop until stopped.
Is there any way to do something similar in Open LP?
