Mismatch between Screen and screen settings

Hi,

Just updated to latest version from a much older version. Now when starting OpenLP I'm first getting a warning screen about "Screen settings and screen setup is not the same".

Clicking on OK OpenLP is starting but the resolution is all off and I can't do anything at all in the program.

I've spent an hour or so searching the forum and testing different solutions in different threads.
1) The graphic card on the PC is updated to the latest version. The laptop is an older hp 250 G6 Notebook with INTEL HD Graphics 620.
2) Screen resolution is 1920x1080 and 125% on apps (I've tried different settings sithout any improvement)
3) I also found a thread about chagning DPI settings on OpenLP, no success in testing that.

Right now I only see an option to uninstall OpenLP and install an older version. But if I can avoid that it would be amazing. So hope for any solution here.

I suspect that the problem is the Graphics Card Driver. In my case I had updated the OS to Windows 11, but the OEM supplied graphics driver was no longer updating: once I installed the latest intel provided driver it worked find.

Before you try to roll back to an older version I would try 3.1 RC4 to see if it works any better. As always make sure you have backup copies of your database files in case you have to rollback to a previous version.

Thank you @AndrewArm , it looks very much like my problem.

The issue is that my PC is to old to upgrade to Win11 and when testing Intel support they say that I need to download the driver from HP (and I have the latest one). Do you think it is safe to download a driver directly from Intel instead?

I also updated to the latest OpenLP version but it didn't help, however, the screen resolution identified by OpenLP was one that is not even an option to select in the Screen settings.

I'd say it was safe to get the driver from Intel, they made graphics card you have?

The strange screen resolution identified by OpenLP in the latest version is a combination of the actual screen resolution and the scaling factor you have (125%), but that isn't the source of your problems ;-)
