My church is currently on OpenLP 2.4.6 on Windows 10, with the data (inc. media) and service files residing in Dropbox (using a non-user account folder as the Dropbox root folder (c:\Dropbox), as media file paths are stored in the OpenLP DBs). Our church administrator prepares the Sunday service files on her laptop, and we run then from a different laptop in church, using Dropbox to effectively transfer the files between the 2. I am also linked into the Dropbox so I can perform theme development & maintenance.
I would like to upgrade to v3.1, but want to know if:
(1) v2.4.6 will still work against the upgraded DBs so we don't have to upgrade all 3 installs at once, and
(2) once I've upgraded the first, whether upgrading the 2nd & 3rd will fail as the DBs will have already been upgraded with the 1st?
If this shared data environment will cause the upgrade to break, I can always move the Data on the 2nd & 3rd installs beforehand, then re-point to the 1st installed (still in Dropbox) afterwards.
Also, does v3.1 store relative paths in the DB for media (& other) items making such sharing possible in user account based folders, e.g. c:\users\username\Dropbox rather than having to use a common absolute Dropbox root folder c:\Dropbox?
