python3-vlc causing issues in OpenLP 3.0.2

I was runnning OpenLP on Ubuntu 23.04 and the area where the Preview and Live views were seen would flicker and contain remnants of dialogs that were run over it. It would not preview or go live. Just this flickering screen.

Today I moved to Fedora 38. After installing OpenLP, when I started OpenLP, I would get an error that I needed python3-vlc. But if I continued, the Live and Preview windows worked perfectly. I then installed python3-vlc and the windows started flickering again. I then removed python3-vlc and the windows are working correctly again. Any thoughts on how to solve this?

I think this might be due to Wayland? Are you able to install X11/X.org and select that when you log in? That might work better.

I experienced this flicker. I was able to fix it by choosing "Ubuntu on Xorg" after clicking the gear icon at the bottom-right of the screen. The gear icon shows up after you choose a user on the Gnome login screen.
