I installed OpenLP 3.0.2 on a new Windows 10 computer at church and when I tried to use a .pptx presentation (LibreOffice installed), I got a blank screen on the extended monitor. LibreOffice had loaded according to the taskbar, but nothing was visible on the screen. After some experimentation, I discovered that the blank screen appeared whenever I clicked on the Desktop button or pressed the D hotkey. It would toggle back and forth to and from the blank screen. Is the desktop function being diverted to the blank screen function? When I click on the blank screen button, the blackness fades in (like a transition), but the blank screen from the D hotkey or the Desktop button is instantaneous. When OpenLP is minimized, the blank screen continues, not allowing any other program to be viewed on the extended monitor. When OpenLP is closed, the monitor becomes available for other programs to use. When I loaded images from OpenLP, everything worked fine, but when I tried to load a video (.mp4, VLC installed), I got the blank screen again. As a workaround, I converted the slides of the PowerPoint into .jpg images and put them in an image file, which displayed properly. To show the video, I had to close OpenLP and use VLC directly, and then reopen OpenLP to finish the service. Can you please address this issue? Thank you.
Desktop button and hotkey D give a blank screen instead of desktop
I found a workaround for this problem. Go to Settings - Configure OpenLP - Screens and change the settings of Screen 2 (Display) from Full screen to Custom geometry. Enter a 1 in the Left box and a 1 in the Top box, and then enter 1 less than the suggested resolution in the Width and Height boxes. Basically, you are moving the display over and down one pixel, which is enough to keep the program from seizing the entire screen. I can now put PowerPoint and video files in the Service list and have them function as expected. I hope this helps.

Can confirm this workaround works perfectly. Thank you!
