slide numbers on songs

Hi I am reviewing your software and think it looks great. I have a few questions i hope you may be able to answer. Is it possible to display verse numbers on songs ? Ive looked in the settings area but could not see any option for it. Also i cant seem to get Powerpoint to work with OpenLP 1.0.1. I have loaded the ppt (version 2003) into OpenLP however when i try to make it go live it appears but i cant move through the slides - am i doing something wrong or is it not support yet Many thanks for a great product I will be sure to donate if we decided to you use it Many thanks Chris

Hi Chris, First point: I'm afraid it isn't possible to display verse numbers, since openlp doesn't (currently) know the difference between a verse/chorus or anything like that. Only way is to actually type the verse numbers as part of the song. Second point: It does sometimes require a bit of a kickstart to get PPT slides working because of the difficulties of communicating with a third party app.How are you trying to advance the slide? I always click the [<<] [>>] advance buttons under the slides view, which seems quite reliable for me. Once I've got going though, the keyboard then usually works fine.

Thanks for the reply gushie Its not a major concern I can put 1of 6 etc... at the bottom of each slide The powerpoint i cant seem to get working. I opened it again tonight and when i set the ppt to go live it appears at the top but will not appear in the Live preview at the b ottom i have tried opening up the presentation in ppt before going live in OpenLp but that didnt work either - any other suggestions thanks again chris
