Hi.
Thank you for all the work that you are putting into this new release.
However, it seems that the OpenLP 2.9.5 release for linux seems to be a bit of a step backwards.
In the edit song window, the buttons to change the key are missing.The Chords view needs some work in that the chords of the first line occupy the same space as the verse order, and then at the end, it is missing the "Next item" (in the service lineup) that shows at the end of each son in the old 2.4.6 version. I find this info to be vital. For it to be missing is quite a handicap.
If you could fix these issues, that would be a huge step forward.

Also, the Custom Stage Views doesn't work

It is possible to create custom stage view with custom styles, javescript and html. To create a custom stage view, go to the OpenLP Data Folder by going to Tools ‣ Open Data Folder. Inside the data folder create a folder names

. Inside the

folder you can now create a folder which will be the name of your custom view, an example could be

. Now copy

and

from Custom Stage View Zip and customize them to your needs.

To access the custom stage view in a browser go to http://myopenlpip:4316/stage/myview.

It doesn't work in this version like it did in 2.4.6 :-(

Couple of images issues:

Images are not staying in their folder. Doesn't happen all the time but I'll open OpenLP and one or two images have moved from one folder to another. Real frustrating when you know an image is supposed to be in a particular folder and now you can't find.Adding new images to a folder and they are not listed in alphabetical order. All of our event graphics start with the date (YYYYMMDD) and then a title. As we move into the new year, the 2023 graphics are being listed before the 2022 graphics and so every service we are having to manually re-order the group after adding it to the service.

Little things but a big nuisance when your operating with volunteers and they are griping about "poorly designed software".

The images in saved service files giving the "plugin required is missing or inactive" error occurs for me on 2.9.5. Now, it could be an issue with the service file format in general. When I save a service file and then try to open it on another Mac running 2.9.5, it says it's corrupted. Maybe related, maybe not.
Couple other oddities:
On my M1 MacBookPro, I have VLC 3.0.17.3 installed, but OpenLP can't find it.If you don't have Keynote (or another helper app) installed, there doesn't seem to be a way to disable OpenLP's startup check (the checkboxes are greyed out), so you get the "where is Keynote?" prompt every time you start OpenLP. And per Murphy's Law, it always pops up on the projector display where it can embarrass me the most.Trying to download a web Bible can cause a crash.

Until two Sundays ago, that is the week before Christmas, I had not experienced any problem with OpenLP and VLC. However, that Sunday morning, OpenLP couldn't locate VLC - and it hasn't been able to ever since.

I've tried with versions 2.9.4 and 2.9.5 and I experience the same problem on my M1 MacBook Pro (with the M1 Pro chip).

I had thought about deleting everything OpenLP programme related in case something was written system-wide that hadn't been deleted when I deleted only the programme file. But your experience is suggesting that I might be wasting my time going down that path.

Any thoughts from you?

Just downloaded the latest version for Arch from the AUR. OpenLP 3.0.0.2-c342509f7

In File -> Print Service -> Options -> include slide text, all the text from the slide is on one line. It is in the display as well as the actual print.

Please can this be fixed sometime. It format correctly on 2.4.6 Eg.

Is this the correct location for these files, or should it be /usr/share/openlp/i18n ?

That is very weird because I have the same arch install and they are in /usr/share/openlp.i18n

Try to see in file explorer (or terminal) if the

exists, and then rename or remove it. After it, you should see OpenLP picking the correct i18n directory.

But OpenLP itself looks in the flatpak/exports/share/openlp/i18n directory. This is not a problem if you are using English as that is default. Other languages/translations will not be found since they are not in the expected directory.

There is a menuitem to change language, and if you don't see a list of 20+ languages to choose from, then OpenLP is looking in a different directory than where the actual files lives.

We are encountering an interesting bug with presentations. If we have a PowerPoint presentation displayed and put a new item in the preview (be it a song, verse, video or picture), the presentation becomes hidden and the desktop is shown. If we then click on one of the PowerPoint slides in OpenLP, the slide is show on the monitor again. After all these steps, the bug cannot be reproduced in the current OpenLP session, OpenLP must be restarted, to be able to reproduce this bug.

When we restart OpenLP at this point (song in preview, PowerPoint presentation being displayed on the monitor after clicking on slide) OpenLP closes but PowerPoint stays opened.

We encountered these bugs on Windows 10 (10.0.19045) with the portable version of OpenLP 2.9.5 and PowerPoint 16.0.13929.20360 64 Bit.
