PowerPoint Presenters View broken in 2.9.3

In the stable release of OpenLP, I can configure powerpoint to use presenters view. This requires me to have the file open in powerpoint with the presenter's view option checked. This beta version seems to be deliberately unchecking that option before starting the presentation. This is working with OpenLP 2.4.6 portable, powerpoint 2019 and windows 10.

OpenLP 2.9.3 beta seems to be intentionally unchecking the presenter's view setting in powerpoint prior to starting the presentation. If this needs to happen in some cases, can we at least have a check box in settings to preserve this functionality? I would hate to have this feature broken in the new version. This will allow me to show presenter's view on the stage monitor while showing the presentation on the projector and controlling from a third monitor.

@zcybercomputing hrm, that's an interesting issue. It must be a change in Office 2019 API that we're using. I'm unaware of anything in OpenLP that would intentionally uncheck the box.

I am using PowerPoint 2019, so I don't know. I will do some more testing when the next beta release comes out. Right now the previous stable release seems to work more reliably for powerpoint.

Aware that this is dredging up an old post, but have just experienced this issue too.

For various rasons had stuck on an old version (2.4.6) and have recently just tried to upgrade to the latest version.

We use powerpoint presentations a lot, and rely on the presenter view appearing.

We too have found that in later versions, up to and including the latest version, that OpenLP is disabling the presenter view.

Is there a way to overcome this with the current versions, or will it be re-instated, or even as a setting in v4?
