Hi, I am having trouble setting up the remote app. I made sure the server, port, and authentication all matched correctly. The computer and phone were both on the same network and the https was toggled on. Anything I am missing or that y’all can think of to get it working?

Thanks,

Brian
This might not help, bur have you checked that your computer firewall isn't blocking your phone?

Perhaps an idea for you. I met the same problem (win10). It was because the network of the computer was "public" and must be set up on "private".
God bless you all.
Whilst you may have solved your issue by changing the network from public to private there are other security issues that you may have also caused that may be of concern. It is better to fix the firewall issue for OpenLP alone if that is what is causing the connection issues.
Thanks for all the help so far. I have allowed access on the firewall but it still is not allowing me to control it from the mobile remote app. Any suggestions?
Does it work via ethernet cable from other pc? Maybe wifi router is set to isolate clients..
I just noticed you say that you have https enabled, can you connect with just http?

So I have now been able to get the remote URL’s to work, but still cannot control from the mobile app. Any suggestions?

when I first used the remote app, I had to enable custom time outs and set the value to 8000 in the app preferences....then I had to wait....the time between selecting something in the app and when OpenLP responded was hard to determine.

Have you tried to use the phone's web browser to go to the remote url? using the web browser may provide more information.

The remote urls are not working on my mobile browser for whatever reason. They work on the computer, but not from a mobile phone.

a few things I can think might help....
you must be on the same network as the computer

the firewall on the computer may cause issues

your phone could be using it's data plan in place of the WiFi network....try turning off your phone data

one more thing to check....verify you have a real IP address and not "127.0.0.1"
