Hi,

Kia ora katou.

I've kept an eye on OpenLP over the last 8 years or so but only recently was able to get agreement to trial it. Running OpenLP 2.4.6 on Linux Mint 19 on one machine and on Lubuntu 18:04 on another. Both have VLC installed from the repo. but neither can play linked audio. It works OK when I use virtual Windows10 machines (on Mint 19) but I really want to run native Linux. What should I do next to troubleshoot/fix?

Nga manaakitia

OpenLP on Linux relies on appropriate gstreamer decoding plugins for audio decoding, so you will have to find and install that.

Thanks. I thought it was only VLC that was required. However, can you specify which gstreamer modules/libraries are needed? I have most of them already installed.

I added gstreamer-opencv and that seemed to do the trick. Many thanks. I wonder if it can be included in the requirements in the package to alleviate this problem arising again?
