Ubuntu 18.04 OpenLP can not start

@raoul Thanks for your reply. I did install that package but it didn't change anything. I solved my problem by reinstalling the system on my desktop. It was an older installation, and I had just upgraded it to Mint 19. Now I did a fresh install, and the problem is gone.

OpenLP doesn't load for me now that I've upgraded from Mint Mate 17.3 to Mint Mate 19.1. All other apps load without a problem. Will the fix below

sudo apt install python3-distutils

work for my situation too?

Thank you Raoul - both for python3-distutils (which was up-to-date) and next, to install VLC. Would never have found that since VLC was installed and working. I now realize that this was the Snap installation; the repository install got me up again just in time for tomorrow's service!

I could sure use some help in this same area. I have tried all of the suggestions that I could find, but I still cannot get past the logo. And when I try to start openLP again, whether in terminal or gui, "already running, do you want to continue?" If I say yes, I get the qt error and segmentation fault. I am running mint 19.3 (based on ubuntu 18.04. Thanks!

I just realized that I was running mint 19.2, so I upgraded to 19.3; same problem. Do I need to start a new discussion, or can I just tag onto this older one?

After I rebooted and tried to restart OpenLP, this is the crash report: says usually indicates a bug which should be reported to vendor:

I figured out how to run debug when opening OpenLP, so this might be more help; I am just pasting where the warnings occurred, but if someone needs the whole dump, I can provide that.

Make sure you have all the dependencies installed, it looks like you are missing some pyqt ones, maybe python3-qt5-webengine.
