PastorSean I was wondering when do you think a update will be done to add Power-Point or Keynote on Mac. My church recently switched to Mac's and now I can run my power points or keynote presentations on OpenLp. I hope this is a soon coming update. I really love the software and hate the idea of switching. Thanks and blessings
raoul We can't do anything until Microsoft or Apple makes an API available for PowerPoint and Keynote. Until then, we can do nothing.
Sirris Sorry to butt in on this but from what I have read Microsoft back in 2016 was planning to release the APIs (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/34648732/api-for-powerpoint-add-in-windows-and-mac) and appears to have released them for Office 2016 using DialogApi 1.1 (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/overview/office-add-in-availability).

Is that the API set you guys are waiting for?

raoul Nope, that's just part of the API for Add-ins, which is a small piece of code that runs inside PowerPoint.

OpenLP needs PowerPoint Automation
raoul @matthd from a couple of articles in their knowledgebase, it looks like ProPresenter just launchs PowerPoint or KeyNote for you on macOS, but then you still just control the presentation in PowerPoint/KeyNote, there's no actual integration.
