Dual Screen showing the desktop picture rather than Live View

I'm new to OpenLP and having problems with getting the dual screen to work. I've followed the help advice, gone for the "extend screen" options etc, I am able to get something different projected from what is on the laptop screen, but it is the desktop background photo and not related to OpenLP. (Presenter mode works correctly when I use Powerpoint on it's own, so I'm having to use that at the moment until I can sort this problem, although other people are hinting at needing to buy other worship presentation software for the church.) Any advice for me needs to be very straightforward!

Welcome Karen,  First of all I'am a mac user but I try to help as much as I can and I sure others will step in also and help you with your problem. On your top tool bar of openlp program, click on the tab Settings/Configure Openpl... then General you should see Select monitor for output display tab. What is displayed in that field? Screen 1 or Screen 2.

Hi Karen.  I'm not often on the forum, so I'm just seeing this now.  Are you still having this problem?  I use Windows 10 too, and had the same problem initially.  I think I can help you, if you still need it.

Thanks Milon, unfortunately I'm still having problems so your advice would be appreciated, I don't  use Windows 10 at home or work, only on the church laptop, so that could be part of my difficulties. (Also a bit tricky sorting it out  when it is a fixed projector in the church and there's no internet there so I need to do lots of to-ing and fro-ing!) I'm fairly sure I've got the right thing for "Select monitor" as it works on Powerpoint.

All working great now. I think I was getting in a pickle with the screen 1/2 options as it was different on Powerpoint. Also the order which I turned on projectots/laptops/OpenLP etc seemed to make a difference. Many thanks.

Hi I'm new to OpenLP. It looks a great app. I really appreciate all the efforts behind it. May God bless each one behind this.

I'm using win 10 and PowerPoint works perfectly on extended screen.
But when I try to project from the OpenLP the extended screen gets opened on the screen 1 only, nothing on screen 2.

I tried the different of starting sequence openLP, projector, but yet no success and result is same.

Can somebody guide me as to how to fix this. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?
