In our church, we currently use PowerPoint for song projection. Hence,
we have a lot of Powerpoints with music scores and we want to keep music score projection.

We
would also like to switch to more professional software for church
presentation. After trying some programs (e.g. EasyWorship, OpenLP,
VideoPsalm, etc.) none of those match all of our requirements. However,
we think OpenLP is one of the best options for us, if two features could
be implemented. For matters of oversight I'll do one feature request
here and the other in a different topic.

Feature Request: Checkboxes in Service Manager to turn on/off song verses and presentation slides

When you add a song or presentation to your service, checkboxes should appear in front of every verse/chorus or slide. In many churches not all verses of a song are to be sung during services, so this helps the projection operator not to forget to skip some verses/slides.

How it should work: when adding a song/presentation all boxes should be checked by default. Unchecking means the respective verse of slide will be taken out of the song/presentation in Live mode immediately. Rechecking a box should put the verse/slide back immediately.

Perhaps a configuration option could be made to prevent the currently projected verse/slide to be unchecked.
I can imagine some people want to be able to take out a verse while running, and some certainly won't, so give them the option.
In case a verse/slide is unchecked (and not protected against that by the setting I would recommend), the next verse/slide should be selected for projection. In this way, one is able to project by only unchecking verses/slides. This can be handy sometimes.

Mockup showing how it should work with PowerPoints. On the left you see slides 1, 2, 3, 4, ..., on the right you see slides 1, 2, 5, 6; 3 and 4 uncheched and therefore not visible in Live mode.
