Slides do not display on second monitor until I OK existing openLP Settings

HiWe are running OpenLP 2.0.5 on Windows 7 sp1 x64. Everything has been working perfectly until recently it would not display slides on the projector (our second monitor). We were running 2.0.3 so I upgraded to 2.0.5 in an attempt to fix the issue. We still have the same problem but I have discovered a workaround. If I start OpenLP, then go to Settings, Configure OpenLP, and just click OK without changing any settings then everything works again. It seems it already has everything configured correctly, but when I OK the settings, somehow it works. Perhaps there is an issue with the Registry or registry permissions? Although it won't show slides it will blank the screen or show the desktop if I click that option.

Hi - you don't note/list the relevant settings/points:

In Settings > General > Monitors group do you have 'Select monitor for output display:' set to your external (usually second) display?

In Windows if you press the [Windows Logo][P] key combination with the projector connected are you using duplicate or extend for the display? It should be extend.

If you are using HDMI do you have the HDMI cable connected to the computer before you turn on the projector? Because of HDCP copy protection built into HDMI it can sometimes cause issues if HDMI cables are pulled out/connected while a signal is going through.

Sorry I found the problem. Our AVG Free antivirus had an issue where there was an error trying to update. I upgraded the AVG software, got the updates working and voila, OpenLP no longer has an issue. So it appears the antivirus software was causing the problem. Thanks for your reply anyway :)
