Bible Copyright

You have recommended using Open Song's Bibles which are great and work well. From a copyright point of view, when you import the bible into Open LP, it asks for the copyright information. I have been trying to find what the correct copyright information is so we are covered legally. Does anyone know where I can find out this information ? And also, I as of the understanding that Zondervan were pretty strict when it came to using the NIV bible so I'm wondering how it is legal to install this free version ? Is it because it is the 1984 version and not the current one so they are happy for it to be used for free ? I just want to make sure that we are using the bible legally and correctly as I would hate for us to not get it right.

Here is the text from their site.  I've asked them for clarification because our church website hosts a reading plan of NKJV.  The word I got from them and from this site is that as long as it's not abused by storing and displaying big portions of the text, you are a safe to just include the citation like in a term paper.  http://www.harpercollinschristian.com/permissions/#2 The key is that you aren't displaying more than 250 verses at one time. Just copy one of the copyright notices included on the link above and your good to go!

Ya we wouldn't want to have free access to an entire Bible would we (I'm being sarcastic), modern bible publishers are doing the same evil that the Vatican and the Roman Catholic church did in the medieval times, they hold back the word of God for a fee, they act as unholy gatekeepers of God's word, these unholy greedy men and women will answer to God for this unholy evil and greed. Believers in The Lord Yeshua/Jesus The Messiah should not have to pay anyone or ask anyone permission to freely download a complete copy of the word of God to our computers, tablets and smart phones, and we should also have the right to print our own Bibles if we have access to a printer. There are some public domain translations of the holy word of God, but the point is that all translations of the word of God should be public domain because it is God's word, not the words of men, therefore people have no right to own a copyright on the word of God and hold back and restrict the distribution of a translation for a fee.
