If I have a presentation that is followed by anything else, in live mode when I reach the last slide of the presentation the only option is click to end presentation - using any keyboard buttons to move to the next service manager item does not work and just closes that presentation. And while in showing presentations there is a special screen rather than the normal Open LP live and preview screens. I am using Impress for the presentations. If there is, say a bible reading, followed by a presentation then ti does follow through the service items, but not the other way round.

I think I see what is happening - it is the Impress programme that is taking over when presenting the presentations - I hadn't recognised that was what it was. But how do I make sure that Open LP remains in charge?

From what you describe it seems as if Impress "steals" focus from OpenLP when starting the presentation. If you manually click OpenLP after the presentation starts, OpenLP should be back in control. This is clearly not optimal...

What version of OpenLP are you using?

And what version of Impress? LibreOffice or OpenOffice?

And are you on Linux or Windows?

I am now on 2.1.4. Libre Office 4.4. Windows 7.

Yes, by using Alt-Tab I can get back to OpenLP, but when I move down to the next Impress presentation it appears to go to the last slide, and when I get to the end of that presentation, the right arrow does not seem to work and I have to double click on the next element in the service list. And finally, if I use the blank display icon, when I revert to display it does not always show the same slide, but may go back to the beginning or end of the presentation!

The problem you are seeing with OpenLP not being able to go from a presentation to the next item in the servicemanager is unfortunately a limitation in OpenLP. We hope to fix it later. We are also aware of unblanking not going to the previous displayed slide, and also hope to fix it later.

In the next release we hope to include a fix that will make OpenLP keep the focus after a LibreOffice presentation starts.
