Always Crashing

Hi,

I've been having lots of problems using OpenLP lately. It crashes all the time. I uninstalled the software and installed the newest version earlier today, hoping that would help. But when I added a video to the service and tried to play it, the screen went all black and the video never unloaded. Hitting escape doesn't exit out from the video. I had to shut the program down through the Task Manager.

I installed the standard K-lite codec hoping it would help, but no luck there either. I had the same result.

It's not just video that causes the program to freeze. It froze when I tried to display a PowerPoint presentation - the screen faded out, and Windows just says it's not responding. 

Any ideas on how I can resolve all of this?

Here's the delug log from me starting OpenLP, loading a media file into the service, and double-clicking the file to start it. As usual, the screen went all black, and the video never loaded or played.

Hi castlem,

Have tried to install the VLC mediaplayer (32-bit)? That will most likely improve your experience with media playback. Remember to enable VLC in the settings and make it your default media player.

You're using Powerpoint viewer, right? What version? OpenLP only supports Powerpoint Viewer 2007.
