Avast Doesn't Like Open LP 2.1.1 beta

Hi,I installed the 2.1.1 beta and Avast Antivirus 2015 does not like Open LP.  It sees it as malicious software and put the .exe into the virus vault.  I uninstalled it and put 2.0.5 back on and it didn't have a problem.What I could see when I disabled the AV I like the changes however it's not good to be a bad boy according to the Anti Virus companies.  :)Take care and God bless!Chuck

I see that this has been reported however you mentioned the installer being the problem.  I had gotten the software to install  by turning off the AV but when Avast was turned back on it sent the EXE to the virus vault when I restarted OpenLP.  The problem may be further than just the installer as was mentioned in an earlier post.

We use a program called PyInstaller to create the OpenLP.exe, and OpenLP.exe is then wrapped in an installer, which is what is downloaded for windows. The problem seems to lies the way PyInstaller creates OpenLP.exe.

yup.  'cause even after installation, Avast blocks and quarantines immediately, even now, a week later after watchguy1's post.

I have worked around this issue by disabling Avast temporarily during the installation. Then re-enabling Avast allowing Avast to quarantine the Openlp executable and then restoring and adding an exception by right clicking in the quarantine. It seems to take a while for Avast to accept that it is an exception but after a bit of fiddling around it does work with Avast being enabled.
