2.1.1 Service File Corrupted

2.1.1, Took the service file to church this morning, built on my home laptop Win7 w/2.1.1, and when I tried to open it, I got a window saying the file was corrupted. Clicked out of that and nothing in service, tried it a few more times and I got a song in the service, after doing that 10-15 times I got my service back. All the songs in the service did have linked audio, and now didn't, also I didn't have any issue prior to this on 2.1.1. On the church Win7 laptop the mouse had a working circle on it the whole service and made me more nervous than I already was, but never crashed. I guess I will revert back to 2.0.5 for now unless it is just the linked audio issue, will know more soon. I had issues with 2.0.5 and linked audio saving to a service file, transferring it to the church laptop. We don't need this very often but it is nice when needed. I will just add it after the file is opened on the church laptop for now.

Happened to us this morning oh my file was corrupt had to remove program and reload after restarting computer what a mess took 35-40 minutes before and during the beginning of service got it all back  Hope It does not do it again would have went back to 2.05 but database was incompatible version 4 to 3!   any ideas how to go back this is not ready yet power point issues also any ideas please?

I had the database issue too, then went back to 2.1.1. I did an uninstall, then moved the remaining files left over to the desktop and renamed them to save them just in case. Then installed 2.0.5 just fine. My songs weren't there because I moved them, guess that is the database issue, but I download from song select. I would imagine the songs are still there, just don't know how to convert/extract them. I was not thinking about backup and was just excited to see what was new! I didn't have time to go in debug Sunday and send report but I will.

Hi,

As you have discovered the database format for 2.0.5 and the 2.1.1 beta is not compatiable! On upgrade you were asked to do a backup, which you hopefully did. The backup can be used if you downgrade to 2.0.5.

We'll look into the issue with the linked audio.

@tgc the file imports correctly, no more corruption, thanks for sure. But the audio still doesn't. But I did use the same created file from Sunday, I haven't tried but will need to again this Sunday. Is this fixed also, before I spend the time attaching it? Thanks again for what all of you do for the Lord!

The issue is not yet resolved, so you should not expect it to work on sunday with a new service file.

Due to the bug in the beta, when it tries to open a service file containing songs with linked audio, it imports the song into the local song database and then tries to import the linked audio as well, which fails with the corruption error you've been seeing. The next time it loads the service file the first song is in the local database, so that song is not imported, but instead it tries to import the next song, which might also lead to an error, etc, etc.

So by opening the service file multiple time you eventually imported all the songs, but without linked audio.

As a workaround you can copy the linked audio manually, but it is not the best solution...

We've just merged a fix for this issue and it will be included in the upcoming beta2. If you can't wait that long it will soon be available in the nightly builds.

@wrenchace I was able to export all my songs and themes from 2.1.1, moved all the data files to a folder on my desktop, uninstalled, installed 2.0.5 and imported from that file I exported and the songs imported just fine back into 2.0.5. Hope this helps!
