2.1.1 malware

Hi, is anybody seeing this has malware, i've tested this on Avast, Bitdefender and BullGuard and they all say it has malware and won't let me run the application.

We are aware of the problem, but can assure you that it is a "false positive" meaning that OpenLP does not carry malware!

For some reason some anti-virus scanner does not like the packaging tool we are using (PyInstaller), and that is what you are seeing.

Both PyInstaller and OpenLP is open source and anyone can have a look at the code and build it themselves if they don't trust the builds available for download.

We are trying to resolve the issue, and hopefully it will be fixed before long.

Ummm... hello? This seems to be taking a very long time to resolve. It is now the 8th of December, 2 weeks after Tim's report, and Avast Antivirus is still blocking OpenLP 2.1.1 install and execute. Please call up Avast and resolve this issue. I am getting tired of reinstalling the package only to have Avast quarantine the executable "OpenLP.exe" repeatedly. ...otherwise, the Beta OpenLP 2.1.1 looks very usable and I'm looking forward to spending more time with the program once OpenLP and Avast come to terms.Cheers. :-/

As I said in yet another "openlp antivirus!" thread, we've submitted OpenLP to the antivirus programs. If you want faster results, please go ahead and pester them. We can't make it happen any faster.
