IELL1 Hello,Is it possible to align the text of the songs or bible or format the text tosuit your requirement.Cheers
carl Create a theme and configure it the way you want for songs and readings. See the user manual.<br>
IELL1 I tried that and configured it to be in the centrehowever whenever I project it onto the the screenit shows the text up and almost outside my screen space. Is there anything more I can do beside selecting the default right, left, centre.cheers
carl If your theme is set to show text in the centre then that's where it should appear. Are you sure the theme is being applied to that particular slide? What happens if you display an image? Does that appear in the centre of the screen?<br><br>Have you set the resolution correctly? There's an option in the settings to define the output area. We've never had to use this but I think it can shift the projected slide around.<br><br>We sometimes have trouble with the VGA projector auto-detecting the resolution of the display. This is nothing to do with OpenLP and it usually happens with Powerpoint. The image on the projector ends up being squashed or off centre. This usually happens if the first thing to be shown has a black background because the projector can't figure out how big the image really is. The solution is to display a white (or light coloured image) image fullscreen with OpenLP or PowerPoint and then hit the auto adjust button on the projector.<br>
phill IELL1,<br>From you comment it sounds like the text is being centred, but the text is filling the screen. Is that a correct assessment?<br>If that is the case you can adjust the output area in the theme options. See: http://manual.openlp.org/themes.html#output-area-locations<br><br>
czare Is it possible to align the song title in the center and the song lyrics left? I wonder if putting styles right inside the song xml would work, if so, what would be the right syntax for text alignment?
JohnM @czare Check out the manual for formatting tags....Left justified, Right justified and Center justified are documented just below the link.
