Song Tab - "Songs not appearing in song tab"

Hi, I have a problem with the song tab "crashing" ie try to select it after accessing another tab and it will not bring up any songs. I have done a clean install - only imported the songs that the initial set up assigns and its still crashing. - Im running the latest version on a MAC OSX 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo - 4GB DDR3. Any advice

Hi Dibley68, did you visit us in IRC? I remember walking through this issue with someone, and we could not determine what the problem was. Which version of OS X are you using?

I'm afraid I've never actually seen this problem, and I don't have access to a Mac to try to reproduce it. Is there any more information you might have (what actions you take, starting from when you start OpenLP) which might help us diagnose this? When did it start happening? Did you install any other software, updates or anything else around the same time?

I think I may have the same problem.

I'm running OpenLP 2.0.3 on a Mac OS X Mavericks. Everything was fine and working well for several weeks. Then suddenly I found that I couldn't 'open' the Songs plugin in Media Manager. Its completely unresponsive when clicked on.

Investigating further, I have found that the problem affects whatever is the top plugin in the list. For example, if I disable the Songs plugin and then re-enable it, it suddenly works again but has been repositioned at the bottom. Now whatever it at the top of the media manager list has stopped working!

I have tried re-installing OpenLP but it hasn't made any difference.

I haven't seen this problem when using the windows version. Hoping someone can throw some light on how to fix this.

Thanks HowieG - thought it was just me. I also tried a clean install - and also re-installed my whole database of songs.. but the problem that you state still happens

Howard, would you be able to copy the log file when the tab stops responding, and send that to us? It may help us determine what is going on. On a side note, I think we need to have a look and see if there's a Qt bug for this.

I had the same problem as HowieG. I found that clicking on the right half of the Songs tab (or whichever tab was on top) worked, but clicking on the left half did not. Seems quite strange. This was version 2.0.1 on the Mac. I don't have the problem on my Windows machine.

I can confirm that with 2.0.3 I am having the same effect where whatever is the topmost entry in the Media Manager (usually 'Songs') will only open if clicked on towards the right hand side of the bar. Lower entries do not exhibit this effect.

I notice that generally, a lot of objects (especially text entries) are not well aligned within their frames. For example on the 'Bibles' entry within Media Manager, the text within the Version and Layout Style drop-downs are misaligned being positioned rather too high up. I'm running OpenLP on 10.9.1 Mavericks on a retina display Macbook so that might make a difference.

Thanks jat777, I had the same problem, but with this, I can work (and hope it can be fixed sometimes). I also run 2.0.3 on Mac OS X Mavericks.
