[Feature Request] Quick add song

I came from Easyslides and my biggest problem to adapt to the "openlp" which was to add a new song, I had to add an author, add verses, and put them in order, even after 6 months using the openlp I still bother with it, now I know that I need to add verse by verse but still the process to add new music is very slow taking a time that often we do not have (especially in churches where there is no cooperation of: praise group, with us)

I think there should be a way to add a new song soon as the easyslides.

which would be added:

-Quick add button song

-Line break to add a new verse

-Remove compulsory addition of an author

-Allow use of the service manager while the editor is open

You make some good points. Some of the guys I work with also seem to struggle with getting new songs into OpenLP. Personally I don't find it complicated but it does require a bit of time. Not sure how the implementation would work... Line break to add a new verse - It would indeed be nice to be able to paste a song or type it in without worrying about [--Verse 1--] etc. I guess OpenLP would need to assign default verses for each line break. This would only work in a special "quick add" mode because otherwise we wouldn't be able to add a line break inside a verse. These could always be adjusted when there is more time, at the end of the service or during the week. Remove compulsory addition of author - I have to disagree with this one :-) I insist that the people I work with check songs at the beginning of the service and add authors and copyright info if this is missing. I know this seems like a waste of time to some people but I feel I have a moral and maybe a legal obligation to credit the authors. Unfortunately, I seem to be the only one in our team who remembers to do this. Using the service manager while the editor is open - Nice idea. I often want to edit a song while the service is running, or even during the song itself. Currently, if I try to edit a song, I am likely to miss the transition to the next verse and everyone will think I've fallen asleep. If I was able to advance the current song to the next verse while editing a song, it would be a lot easier. I would say the same could apply to various other modal windows like imports for songs or Bibles, just in case we need to do this during a service.
