I am interested in the "possible, although difficult, solution" from @raoul.
I currently create custom slides as-needed for my own Bible translation. I would love to find a way to import Bible files alongside the other translations. I am currently tagging verses and footnotes for use in Logos (as a Personal Book). The tagged docx file looks like this:
[[@Bible:Luke:10:25]]{{field-on:versenum}}25{{field-off:versenum}}{{field-on:Bible}} Behold! A certain interpreter of the law rose up in order to test Him! And he said, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”{{field-off:Bible}} [[@Bible:Luke:10:26]]{{field-on:versenum}}26{{field-off:versenum}}{{field-on:Bible}} So He said to him, “In the law, what is written? How do you read [the holy scripture]?”{{field-off:Bible}} [[@Bible:Luke:10:27]]{{field-on:versenum}}27{{field-off:versenum}}{{field-on:Bible}} So he answered and said, “YOU WILL LOVE THE LORD, YOUR GOD, FROM YOUR WHOLE HEART AND FROM YOUR WHOLE SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH and with your whole mind; and [YOU WILL LOVE] YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”{{field-off:Bible}} [[@Bible:Luke:10:28]]{{field-on:versenum}}28{{field-off:versenum}}{{field-on:Bible}} So He said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.”{{field-off:Bible}} [[@Bible:Luke:10:29]]{{field-on:versenum}}29{{field-off:versenum}}{{field-on:Bible}} But because he wanted to justify himself, he said to Jesus: “And who is my neighbor?”{{field-off:Bible}}
Logos also recognizes formatting like font size and color. I would not expect OpenLP to do the same, but I'm wondering if there is a way to import this file or a similar file into the software. I will have 27 separate files for the NT books.
