blank screen between songs

it would be good if instead of a blank screen between songs the theme background remained with no words on it as this would add more continuaty to the display chears

Added to project feature requests. A solution for you to use now would be to load the theme image into the OOS (media manager -> images ..) and activate it when a song finishes instead of blanking the screen.

Actually both would be good - i.e. blank (black) screen or empty (themed) screen. Black is very useful when you are using a projector that doesn't have an easy way of blanking the display. We have one projector where the only way to blank is to use the remote and the remote only works when you are facing the output end of the projector.

Agreed; I think it comes down to having the slides be easier to manipulate (e.g., not requiring a title and text body for a custom slide). It would make the software much more versatile.

paulewog, Not sure what a blank custom slide does that clicking the close-with-theme doesn't. However if you need to, there is away to add a blank custom slide. In the title and body fields, hold down the left ALT key whilst typing 0160 on the numeric keypad (right hand of the keyboard). This will enter a special space character which will fool openlp.org into allowing you to add the slide
