I, too, find it necessary to print sheets for the worship team, since we as yet do not have a rearward-facing projector. I like doing edits in OpenLP, but the editing is lost unless I export the songs into a folder.

Now I have all my choruses in not-so-compatible-with-any-word-processor XML. What to do?

I worked around the problem using Matlab. Okay, I use it at work and its easy for me. But my Matlab script will read the choruses in alphabetical order, parse the fields into structures, then print the structures into LaTeX format for processing into a nice-looking song book. The VerseOrder field is used to prevent multiple printing of the choruses, with Repeat {c1} used instead, for instance. The output is one chorus per page in large font and 1.5 line spacing for chord additions. A TOC is generated at the front of the "Report".

This is far from useable to anyone other than me, or a very few that would have access to Matlab and knowledge of LaTeX. However, chorus books can be generated from the XML song exports if one possesses the knowledge, time, and patience to do so.

Just saying...
