Selection in Live Selection not keeping up

Hi, first of all the software and it's features are great, it is so much I can do with it to visualize our service contents. Since beta 3 I have some problems with the switching between the slides. When I navigate though the slides pretty fast the selection in the live view goes back one slide in the oppsite direction. Altough the live image (the real and the small on my view) shows the correct slide -- the selection is changed after the last real change. Normally I do not go to fast though the slides so this often happens to me when I skipped somewhere wrong and fast have to go backwards or forwards to the correct slide to correct my mistake. So this only makes it worse as it confuses me. I normally use the arrow keys to navigate so I might only be related to them? Does anyone know this issue and what could help? God bless you all! Patrick I used OpenLP live in our service for the first time last Sunday and overall I was very happy! However, I've experienced the same issue you mention while rehearsing my services, and realised that stepping back through slides really quickly wasn't reliable :( Glad to hear I'm not the only one who's noticed this behaviour, but sorry I don't have any answers ... Pretty simple, arrow through a song and quickly go back up one, it doesn't keep up, can verify this on OpenLP on XP Pro SP3 as well.

Now that I've had a chance to look into it, it's not as simple as "goes back one in the opposite direction" The general issue is this:1. Use arrow keys to navigate quickly within the slide controller (preview or live, song, bible, or custom, it doesn't matter)2. The selection in the slide controller does not keep up. Although what is displayed in SlidePreview is correct, it is not matched by selection in SlideController.3. After a pause, if you navigate up or down again, the slide controller will select the slide next to it's (incorrect) selection. Thus the slide displayed in SlidePreview and on screen will now match Slide Controller BUT it will not be consecutive from the previous slide displayed. Confusion results! I think I'm seeing the issue occur in at least two different ways:1. If I navigate fairly quickly, when I pause, the selection in the slide controller goes back exactly one in the opposite direction.2. Howver, if I navigate really fast (ie press one arrow key several times as rapidly as I can), the selection in the slide controller jumps much more drastically. It seems (approximately), that if I navigate down really fast, and when I stop, the correct slide is at the bottom of what is visible in the Slide Controller, then the selection jumps back to the slide that is currently visible at the top of the window - about 3-4 slides. If you've got more questions I'll try to help. I'm on 1.9.7 on win7 home. Sam

I'm running 1.9.7 on Kubuntu 11.10 and I can also verify problems with the selection of the current service item when using the arrow keys for navigation. If I press the right arrow three times in quick succession the output jumps three service items down the list and then jumps back up one item, but leaves the selection in the service manager three items down. Thus the live output, slide contents and preview all show the contents of two service items down the list while the service manager has the third service item selected. If I do the same thing with the left arrow, a similar thing happens but in the opposite direction. If I press the left/right arrow key four times in quick succession, then the output jumps to the correct slide and then back two slides. If I press the left/right arrow key five times in quick succession, then the output jumps to the correct slide and then back three slides. Sometimes, though I am also seeing another problem. Sometimes (although not all the time), if I hold down the left/right arrow key slightly longer than necessary to jump one slide, I end up with a situation where the service manager selection moves two service items, and the Live slide text shows the correct text, and the live output shows the theme from that selected item, but the text from the in-between service item. Sorry if I haven't explained myself very clearly! It is a bit hard to explain sometimes!
